Appointment Deposit Policy

As of July 2022, Behind The Rim Auto Detailing will require deposits on all appointments in order to be scheduled in the calendar.

Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. Unfortunately, over the last few weeks, we have seen a major increase in last-minute no-shows and cancellations. Based on the total price of your services, appointment deposits will be $25 or $50. This is a non-refundable deposit. If you need to cancel/reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, a new deposit must be made on the new appointment.

  • Appointment Deposits

When you book an appointment with us, we reserve that time specifically for you. Because each appointment requires us to set aside time, equipment, and scheduling availability, we require a $50 appointment deposit when booking.

Your deposit is applied directly toward the final cost of your service. It is not an additional fee.

For example, if your service total is $400 and you paid a $50 deposit, your remaining balance at checkout will be $350.

  • Is the Deposit an Extra Fee?

No. Your $50 deposit is applied toward your service total.

    Example:

    Service total: $400

    Appointment deposit: $50

    Remaining balance: $350

  • Why is a deposit required?

An appointment reserves a specific time in our schedule exclusively for you. Once that time has been reserved, we may turn away other customers or be unable to fill the opening if an appointment is cancelled at the last minute.

The deposit helps us maintain a reliable schedule while making sure our appointment times are available for customers who are ready to have their vehicle serviced.

We appreciate your understanding and your commitment to the appointment you reserve.

  • What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time require a new $50 deposit to reserve the new appointment.

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

For mobile services, weather can affect when and where we can safely perform the work. If weather conditions prevent us from completing your appointment, we will work with you to reschedule.

When an appointment is rescheduled because of weather on our end, your existing deposit will transfer to the new appointment and no additional deposit will be required.

For garage/shop-based services, weather generally does not affect our ability to perform the service, so your appointment can typically proceed as scheduled.
